1. Weighted inequalities involving Riemann-Liouville and Hardy-type operators
Abstract : Necessary and sufficient conditions for the weighted boundedness and compactness of the Riemann-Liouville operators are obtained. Applications to the solvability of the Abel nonlinear integral equations and to embedding theorems of some Besov-type spaces into weighted Lebesgue spaces on the semiaxis are given. READ MORE

2. AlN Thin Film Electroacoustic Devices
Abstract : Recently, the enormous growth in personal communications systems (PCS), satellite communication and various other forms of wireless data communication has made analogue frequency control a key issue as the operation frequency increases to the low/medium GHz range. Surface acoustic wave (SAW) and bulk acoustic wave (BAW) electroacoustic devices are widely used today in a variety of applications both in consumer electronics as well as in specialized scientific and military equipment where frequency control is required. 3. Geometric Control of Thrust Propelled Systems
Abstract : This thesis was motivated and inspired by the AEROWORKS project, a European research project, whose main goal was to deploy multiple heterogeneous unmanned aerial vehicles in environments where human intervention is restricted. In particular, this thesis focuses on control of aerial vehicles for the purposes of cargo transportation, an application of interest, for example, in inspection and maintenance of aging infrastructures. 5. Cardiac Long-Axis Function. Experimental and Clinical Aspects
Abstract : This thesis includes both experimental and clinical projects. The experimental studies investigate pathophysiological aspects of ventricular longitudinal function and therapeutic hypothermia during acute myocardial infarction (AMI). READ MORE
