  1. 1. Evolving Systems – Engaged Users : Key Principles for Improving Region-wide Health IT Adoption

    Author : Rebecka Janols; Bengt Sandblad; Bengt Göransson; Erik Borälv; Anne Persson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; HCI; eHealth; EPR; sociotechnical systems; enterprise-wide systems; deployment; change management; usability; health care; Datavetenskap med inriktning mot människa-datorinteraktion; Computer Science with specialization in Human-Computer Interaction;

    Abstract : Many countries have formulated their eHealth visions and billions of dollars have been spent on supporting the eHealth development throughout the world. An important part of the development is the electronic patient record (EPR). READ MORE

  2. 2. Tailor the system or tailor the user? : How to make better use of electronic patient record systems

    Author : Rebecka Janols; Bengt Sandblad; Bengt Göransson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Datavetenskap med inriktning mot människa-datorinteraktion; Computer Science with specialization in Human-Computer Interaction;

    Abstract : Health care organisations are extremely complex because they consist of heterogeneous groups of people (clinical professions, patients, managers), use advanced technology (medical devices and patient record systems), and apply many organisational and clinical routines. When introducing Electronic Patient Record systems (EPR) in health care organisations, all these aspects get affected. READ MORE

  3. 3. Chemical Abundance Analysis of Population II Stars : The Summary Includes a Background in General Astronomy

    Author : Karin Jonsell; Bengt Gustafsson; Bengt Edvardsson; Paul Barklem; Christopher Sneden; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Astronomy; Astronomy; Galactic evolution; Halo; Milky Way; Oxygen; r-element; s-element; Stellar abundances; Astronomi; Astronomy and astrophysics; Astronomi och astrofysik;

    Abstract : We are made of stardust in the sense that most atomic nuclei around us have been formed by stars. Stars synthesise new elements and expel them to the interstellar medium, from which later new generations of stars are born. We can map this chemical evolution by analysing the atmospheric contents of old Galactic halo stars. READ MORE

  5. 5. Many-body Problems in the Theory of Stellar Collapse and Neutron Stars

    Author : Emma Olsson; Bengt Gustafsson; Christopher Pethick; Bengt Friman; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Astronomy; neutron stars; core-collapse supernovae; response functions; Fermi liquids; nuclear matter; neutrino interactions; Astronomi; Astronomy and astrophysics; Astronomi och astrofysik;

    Abstract : When modelling the collapse of massive stars leading to supernova explosions and the cooling of neutron stars, understanding the microphysical processes, such as the interaction of neutrinos within a dense medium are of vital importance. The interaction of neutrinos with nucleons (neutrons and protons) is altered by the presence of the medium, compared to the same process with free nucleons. READ MORE
