  1. 1. Metal-Organic Complexes at Surfaces

    Author : Cristina Isvoranu; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; x-ray absorption spectroscopy; x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy; bi-isonicotinic acid; oxalic acid; spin change; gas adsorption; metal-organic complex; iron phthalocyanine; scanning tunneling spectroscopy; resonant photoemission spectroscopy;

    Abstract : The adsorption of different metal-organic complexes at surfaces was investigated by spectroscopic techniques (x-ray photoemission spectroscopy, x-ray absorption spectroscopy, resonant photoemission spectroscopy) and by scanning tunnelling microscopy. The investigation methods are able to provide atomic scale information on the studied systems, which moreover originates from the top-most atomic layers in a sample, meaning that they are surface sensitive techniques. 2. 2. Studies of Model Nanostructured Materials : Geometric and Electronic Structure, and sub-10 fs Charge Transfer Dynamics

    Author : Joachim Schnadt; Wilfried Wurth; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Fysik; Physics; Fysik; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : A number of nanostructured systems has been investigated by means of Photoemission and X-ray absorption spectroscopies and by Scanning tunneling microscopy with emphasis on the geometric and electronic structure and the excited-state charge transfer dynamics. These systems comprise aromatic molecules on semiconductor surfaces (titanium dioxide), metal clusters, and an alkali-C60 compound. READ MORE

  3. 3. Quantum photoelectrochemistry : Theoretical studies of organic adsorbates on metal oxides surfaces

    Author : Petter Persson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Quantum chemistry; Quantum chemistry; photoelectrochemistry; metal oxide surfaces; organic adsorbates; Kvantkemi; Quantum chemistry; Kvantkemi; Quantum Chemistry; kvantkemi;

    Abstract : Interactions between organic molecules and transition metal oxide surfaces have been investigated by means of quantum chemical calculations. The studies have been aimed at understanding electrode-adsorbate interactions in photoelectrochemical devices, such as dye-sensitized solar cells. READ MORE

  4. 4. Dye-sensitized nanostructured metal oxide electrodes : Photoelectrochemical, quantum chemical and electron spectroscopic studies

    Author : Håkan Rensmo; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Fysik; Physics; Fysik; Physical Chemistry; fysikalisk kemi; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Solar cells based on dye-Sensitized nanostructured electrodes are promising for solar energy conversion. High overall light-to-energy conversion efficiencies have been obtained for systems based on TiO2 (7%) and ZnO (2%). The photocurrent losses in these electrodes have been investigated by photoelectrochemical methods. READ MORE
