  1. 1. Automated Bottleneck Analysis of Production Systems : Increasing the applicability of simulation-based multi-objective optimization for bottleneck analysis within industry

    Author : Jacob Bernedixen; Amos H. C. Ng; Anna Syberfeldt; Kalyanmoy Deb; Leif Pehrsson; Magnus Wiktorsson; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; bottleneck analysis; bottleneck identification; bottleneck improvement; multi-objective optimization; simulation; Production and Automation Engineering; Produktion och automatiseringsteknik;

    Abstract : Manufacturing companies constantly need to explore new management strategies and new methods to increase the efficiency of their production systems and retain their competitiveness. It is of paramount importance to develop new bottleneck analysis methods that can identify the factors that impede the overall performance of their productionsystems so that the optimal improvement actions can be performed. 2. 2. Resource-Aware and Personalized Federated Learning via Clustering Analysis

    Author : Ahmed Abbas Mohsin Al-Saedi; Veselka Boeva; Emiliano Casalicchio; György Dán; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Federated Learning; Clustering Analysis; Eccentricity Analysis; Non- IID Data; Model Personalization; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Today’s advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI) enables training Machine Learning (ML) models on the daily-produced data by connected edge devices. To make the most of the data stored on the device, conventional ML approaches require gathering all individual data sets and transferring them to a central location to train a common model. Abstract : Innovation issues are increasingly highlighted in public policy, including competition policy. Not only is innovation a major factor behind economic growth in society, it is also increasingly shaping market conditions and affecting market participants’ behaviour. READ MORE

  4. 4. Window-based congestion control : Modeling, analysis and design

    Author : Niels Möller; Karl Henrik Johansson; Rayadurgam Srikant; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Internet; Congestion control; Window-based; Telecommunication; Telekommunikation;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a model for the ACK-clock inner loop, common to virtually all Internet congestion control protocols, and analyzes the stability properties of this inner loop, as well as the stability and fairness properties of several window update mechanisms built on top of the ACK-clock. Aided by the model for the inner-loop, two new congestion control mechanisms are constructed, for wired and wireless networks. READ MORE
