  1. 1. Colloidal carrier substances : Properties and impact on trace metal distribution in natural waters

    Author : Anna Ledin; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AREAS; TVÄRVETENSKAPLIGA FORSKNINGSOMRÅDEN;

    Abstract : Colloidal (0,45 J.Im) are important constituents in the aquatic environment, due to their impact on the mobility and bioavailability of associated components (e.g. metals). READ MORE

  2. 2. Charge carrier transport in field-effect transistors with two-dimensional electron gas channels studied using geometrical magnetoresistance effect

    Author : Isabel Harrysson Rodrigues; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; low-field mobility; high-electron-mobility transistor; velocity saturation; quasi-ballistic charge carrier transport; two-dimensional electron gas; charge carrier scattering mechanisms; geometrical magnetoresistance; low noise and high frequency applications; velocity peak; graphene field-effect transistor; charge carrier trans- port;

    Abstract : During the last decades, significant efforts have been made to exploit the excellent and promising electronic properties exhibited by field-effect transistors (FETs) with two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) channels. The most prominent representatives of this class of devices are high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) and graphene field-effect transistors (GFETs). READ MORE

  3. 3. Steel converter slag as an oxygen carrier

    Author : Fredrik Hildor; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Steel converter slag; Biomass; Oxygen carrier; LD slag; Oxygen carrier aided combustion; Chemical looping;

    Abstract : Thermal conversion of fuels can be used to produce heat and power in addition to chemicals. In order to be aligned with climate targets, it is necessary that such systems do not emit carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) can be used together with fuel conversion systems to prevent CO2 from entering the atmosphere. READ MORE

  4. 4. Novel Technique for Analysing Volatile Compounds in Indoor Dust : Application of Gas Chromatography – UV Spectrometry to the Study of Building-Related Illness

    Author : Anders Nilsson; Christer Tagesson; Verner Lagesson; Göran Strid; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : acrylates adverse effects; air pollution; ultraviolet; indoor analysis; chromatography; gas; environmental exposure adverse effects; sick building syndrome etiology; dust; volatilization; Spectrophotometry; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Abstract : It is now generally acknowledged that particulate air pollution can cause respiratory symptoms and that indoor dust particles may be associated with mucous membrane irritation and odour annoyance. One reason for this may be that dust particles adsorb large quantities of gases and other volatile compounds. READ MORE

  5. 5. Reducing Radon Gas Emissions in Concrete

    Author : Magnus Döse; Johan Silfwerbrand; Franz Josef Maringer; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Radon gas; emissions; health; concrete; building materials; ionizing radiation; Betongbyggnad; Concrete Structures;

    Abstract : Several compulsory regulations and recommendations regarding ionising radiation for building products have been introduced in recent years. Furthermore, industry-affiliated aggregate and concrete companies strive to implement environmental goals that should be fulfilled regarding building materials. READ MORE
