1. Studies on Rechargeable Fe-air electrodes in Alkaline electrolyte
Abstract : Energy storage system is an important component in the energy system based on variable renewable energy sources into the grid. Energy storage system could contribute to decarbonization, energy security, offset the demand and supply of the electricity sector, especially for the electric grid. READ MORE

2. Improved Usage of Wood Raw Material through Modification of the Kraft Process
Abstract : The kraft process is a complex system with many variables, and though the process is fairly well understood, there is still much we do not know. This thesis examines some aspects of the kraft process that could prove to be of interest for the pulp and paper industry, specifically, the impact of wood chip impregnation and of the chemical structure of xylan on spruce kraft pulp. 3. Recovery of Rare Earth Elements from spent Nickel-Metal Hydride Batteries from Hybrid Electric Vehicles
Abstract : Rare earth elements (REE) are a group of elements that are of critical importance in numerous technological applications, including “green technologies” such as wind turbines and hybrid car batteries. When the criticality of applications is considered, problems in supply has brought the option of effective secondary resource utilization into consideration. READ MORE

4. Hydrogen Production by Integration of Fluidized Bed Heat Exchangers in Steam Reforming
Abstract : The possibility to integrate fluidized beds as heat sources for steam reforming in industrial hydrogen production plants is examined in this work. The proposed processes include traditional catalytic steam reforming of natural gas (SMR), shift reactors and purification steps; the main difference is the reformer furnace. READ MORE

5. Longterm performance of polyolefins in different environments including chlorinated water: antioxidant consumption and migration and polymer degradation
Abstract : The long-term performance of stabilized polyolefins in different environments was studied with focus on antioxidant consumption and migration. Plaques of linear polyethylene (LPE) and branched polyethylene (BPE) were stabilized with Santonox® R (4,4'-Thiobis(6-tert-butyl-3-methylphenol)), Irganox® 1081 (2,2’-Thiobis(4-methyl-6-tertbutylphenol)), or Lowinox® 22M46 (2,2’-Methylenebis(6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol)).
