1. Studies of electrically conductive textile coatings with PEDOT:PSS
Abstract : This study investigates electrically conductive coatings of textiles, obtained with a direct coating and the addition of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) dispersion to a thickened polyurethane (PU)-based formulation. Textiles with enhanced electrical conductivity have potential applications in antistatic, electrostatic discharge protective, electromagnetic interference shielding, sensoric and temperature-regulating products. 2. Particle Coating in a Wurster Type Bed
Abstract : The Wurster bed process is frequently used for film coating. In the Wurster bed, particles circulate in the equipment and are sprayed with a liquid which forms a coating when dry. The procedure is repeated until the desired characteristics of the coating layer are obtained. READ MORE

3. The Prediction of Fluid Flow, Particle In-Flight and Coating Characteristics in Atmospheric Plasma Spraying
Abstract : The aim of this thesis is to make a contribution to the development and application of models for the simulation and optimisation of plasma spray processes in production engineering. In particular, focus is placed on the development, combination and application of models for coating deposition and robot motion optimisation, the prediction of coating temperatures during deposit, the simulation of the plasma flow field, and in-flight characteristics of injected particles. 4. Particle motion, coating and drying in Wurster fluidized beds - An experimental and discrete element modeling study
Abstract : This thesis focuses on developing a mathematical model that is capable of predicting the fluidized bed coating process. First a basic understanding of pellet motion in a Wurster fluidized bed was established by conducting a series of experiments using the positron emission particle tracking (PEPT) technique. READ MORE

5. High temperature galling : influencing parameters and mechanisms
Abstract : Damage of forming tools at elevated temperatures is a major problem in metal forming processes such as hot stamping. Of special importance is the occurrence of adhesion and gross material transfer from the work-piece to the tool surface, a phenomenon known as galling. READ MORE
