1. Melt Spun Electro-Conductive Polymer Composite Fibers
Abstract : One interesting approach is the development of conductive polymer composite fibers for innovative textile applications such as in sensors, actuators and electrostatic discharge. In this study, conductive polymer composite fibers were prepared using several different blends containing conductive components: a conjugated polymer (polyaniline-complex) and/or carbon nanotubes. 2. Electrically conductive textile coatings with PEDOT:PSS
Abstract : In smart textiles, electrical conductivity is often required for several functions, especially contacting (electroding) and interconnecting. This thesis explores electrically conductive textile surfaces made by combining conventional textile coating methods with the intrinsically conductive polymer complex poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene)-poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS). 3. Chemical Pathways to Electrically Conductive Hemicellulose Hydrogels
Abstract : Hydrogels have been extensively explored and are widely used in diverse biomedical applications, such as scaffolds for tissue engineering and vehicles for drug delivery. As one type of important natural polymer-based hydrogel, hemicellulose hydrogels have interesting attributes, including being renewable, non-toxic, biocompatible, biodegradable, and abundantly available. 4. Solution-Processable Conductive Graphene-Based Materials for Flexible Electronics
Abstract : This thesis work explores electrical conductors based on few-layer graphene flakes as an enabler for low-cost, mechanically flexible, and high-conductivity conductors in large area flexible and printed electronic devices. The flakes are deposited from aqueous solutions and processed at low temperature. READ MORE

5. Studies of electrically conductive textile coatings with PEDOT:PSS
Abstract : This study investigates electrically conductive coatings of textiles, obtained with a direct coating and the addition of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) dispersion to a thickened polyurethane (PU)-based formulation. Textiles with enhanced electrical conductivity have potential applications in antistatic, electrostatic discharge protective, electromagnetic interference shielding, sensoric and temperature-regulating products.
