  1. 11. Control of EGR and VGT for emission control and pumping work minimization in diesel engines

    Author : Johan Wahlström; Lars Nielsen; Lars Eriksson; Tore Hägglund; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mean value modeling; Oxygen fuel ratio; EGR-fraction; System analysis; Sign reversal; PID-control; European Transient Cycle; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Abstract : Legislators steadily increase the demands on lowered emissions from heavy duty vehicles. To meet these demands it is necessary to integrate technologies like Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Variable Geometry Turbochargers (VGT) together with advanced control systems. READ MORE

  2. 12. Organic Azides : Functional Molecules and Materials

    Author : Giampiero Proietti; Peter Dinér; Per I. Arvidsson; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; perfluorinated Aromatic Azide; Photoactivatable; fluorophores; aggregation-induced emission; sulfonimidamides; sulfoximes; chiral auxilary; organogel; azides reduction; Ni-B; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Abstract : The work presented in this thesis stems from the chemistry of the azido group, and more specifically from the unique reactivity of perfluorinated aromatic azides and how to use this reactivity to access new types of molecules to enable new applications in asymmetric synthesis and materials.In the first section of this thesis, a photoactivatable fluorescence probe is presented, where the non-luminescent azide was activated via a UV-light-promoted intramolecular N–H insertion reaction forming a fluorescence emitter. 3. 13. Control of EGR and VGT for Emission Control and Pumping Work Minimization in Diesel Engines

    Author : Johan Wahlström; Lars Nielsen; Lars Eriksson; Gianfranco Rizzo; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

READ MORE

  4. 14. Renewable diesel fuels and emission control strategies : Implications for occupational exposure, human health, and the environment

    Author : Louise Gren; NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; aerosol technology;

    Abstract : Combustion of fossil diesel is a major environmental problem for both the climate and human health. Renewable diesel fuels have been developed and introduced to the market to reduce the net CO2 emissions. READ MORE

  5. 15. Functional brain activity in Alzheimer patients as studied by multi-tracer positron emission tomography : effects of treatment with cholinesterase inhibitors

    Author : Ahmadul Kadir; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : Alzheimer’s disease; cholinesterase inhibitors; positron emission tomography; nicotinic acetylcholine receptor; acetylcholinesterase; multi-tracer; 11C-nicotine; 11C-PMP; 18F-FDG; 11C-PIB; donepezil; rivastigmine; galantamine; phenserine.;

    Abstract : Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease accompanied by cognitive impairment and disturbances in several neurotransmitter systems, especially the cholinergic system. Studies have correlated the cognitive impairment observed in AD patients with a deficit in central cholinergic neurotransmission. READ MORE
