1. MCNPX Simulations for Neutron Cross Section Measurements
Abstract : This thesis presents MCNPX simulations of the SCANDAL set-up used at the Theodor Svedberg Laboratory for neutron scattering cross-section measurements. The thesis describes processes and data important for the upcoming off-line data analysis. READ MORE

2. Estimation and Testing in Panel Data with Cross-Section Dependence
Abstract : This thesis makes a contribution the econometrics of panel data with cross-section dependence (CSD). It consists of five self-contained papers. READ MORE

3. Heavy particle interference and diffraction in fast electron transfer collisions
Abstract : This thesis presents experimental results from the synchrotron cooler and storage ring CRYRING on charge transfer processes in fast electron transfer collisions using high-resolution cold target recoil-ion momentum spectroscopy. The main focus of these studies was to investigate a key concept of quantum mechanics: the wave-particle duality. READ MORE

4. A Method for Dispersive Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar Analysis Applied to High Strain Rate Testing of Spruce Wood
READ MORE

5. Electron-transfer processes in fast ion-atom collisions
Abstract : The subject of this thesis is experimental studies of electron-transfer processes in ion-atom collisions at velocities significantly higher than typical orbital velocities of electrons in bound states of atoms or molecules. The experimental technique applied combines the high beam intensity of heavy-ion storage rings with a supersonic gas-jet target equipped with a recoil-ion-momentum spectrometer. READ MORE
