1. Framework For Structuring Information For Environmental Management Of Industrial Systems
Abstract : This thesis addresses information structuring for reducing cost, facilitate understandability, increase relevance and improve quality of environmental information. The research is based in experience, practical results and syntheses from three different but related research and development projects conducted between 1994 and 2004. READ MORE

2. Toward motion-capture-based digital human modelling
Abstract : Digital Human Models (DHMs) are getting more applicable in the simulation of human postures/actions inside virtual production systems. Despite the existence of various modeling techniques, simulated motions are still looking unrealistic. READ MORE

3. Integration of database technology and multibody system analysis
Abstract : The design process includes many different activities inwhich various computational mechanics tools are used forbehaviour modelling of mechanical systems and their buildingblocks, e.g. machine elements. These tools usually supportlarge and complex models and they produce large quantities ofdata with a high degree of complexity. READ MORE

4. Experimental study of the turbulent flow in a plane asymmetric diffuser
Abstract : The separating turbulent flow in a plane asymmetric diffuseris investigated experimentally. The considered flow case issuitable for fundamental studies of separation, separationcontrol and turbulence modelling. The flow case has beenstudied in a specially designed wind-tunnel under wellcontrolled conditions. READ MORE

5. Towards Aspectual Component-Based Real-Time System Development
Abstract : Increasing complexity of real-time systems and demands for enabling their configurability and tailorability are strong motivations for applying new software engineering principles such as aspect-oriented and component-based software development. The integration of these two techniques into real-time systems development would enable: (i) efficient system configuration from the components in the component library based on the system requirements, (ii) easy tailoring of components and/or a system for a specific application by changing the behavior (code) of the component by aspect weaving, and (iii) enhanced flexibility of the real-time and embedded software through the notion of system configurability and component tailorability.
