    Abstract : Listen. If I ask you to listen, what is it that I ask of you—that you will understand, or perhaps obey? Or is it some sort of readiness that is requested? What occurs with a body in the act of listening? How do sound and voice structure audio-visual-spatial relations in concrete situations?This doctoral thesis in fine arts consists of six artworks and an essay that documents the research process, or rather, acts as a travelogue as it stages and narrates a series of journeys into a predominantly sonic ecology. 2. 2. Occupying Time : Design, Time, and the Form of Interaction

    Author : Ramia Mazé; RISE; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Design; Architecture;

    Abstract : As technology pervades our everyday life and material culture, new possibilities and problematics are raised for design. Attention in contemporary design discourse is shifting ‘beyond the object’, to the qualities of processes and experiences. READ MORE

  3. 3. Collaborative Multidisciplinary Design Optimization for Conceptual Design of Complex Products

    Author : Edris Safavi; Johan Ölvander; Mehdi Tarkian; Hampus Gavel; Jerzy Pokojski; Linköpings universitet; []

    Abstract : MULTIDESCIPLINARY design optimization (MDO) has developed in theory andpractice during the last three decades with the aim of optimizing complexproducts as well as cutting costs and product development time. Despite thisdevelopment, the implementation of such a method in industry is still a challenge andmany complex products suffer time and cost overruns. READ MORE

  4. 4. Towards a circular home: Exploring opportunities for design to support households in sustainable resource use

    Author : Sofie Hagejärd; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Abstract : Our use of natural resources has grown dramatically in recent years, with negative consequences for both the environment and human health. At home, resource use in the form of energy, water, food, and material objects may be related to a wide range of everyday practices as well as changes to, and adaptations of, our home environments.
