1. Functional Metal Oxide Materials Deposited by Inkjet Printing Technique
Abstract : This thesis presents a comprehensive study of the intrinsic room temperature ferromagnetism in 85 to 100nm thin films produced by in situ deposition of industrially important pristine MgO and ZnO by inkjet printing. It is suggested that the observed long range magnetic order, the so-called do magnetism in these oxides arises from cation vacancies. READ MORE

2. Synthesis of ZnO and transition metals doped ZnO nanostructures, their characterization and sensing applications
Abstract : Nanotechnology is a technology of the design and the applications of nanoscale materials with their fundamentally new properties and functions. Nanosensor devices based on nanomaterials provide very fast response, low-cost, long-life time, easy to use for unskilled users, and provide high-efficiency. READ MORE

3. Synthesis and Characterization of Some Nanostructured Materials for Visible Light-driven Photo Processes
Abstract : Nanostructured materials for visible light driven photo-processes such as photodegradation of organic pollutants and photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation for hydrogen production are very attractive because of the positive impact on the environment. Metal oxides-based nanostructures are widely used in these photoprocesses due to their unique properties. READ MORE

4. Deposition of Al-doped ZnO films by high power impulse magnetron sputtering
Abstract : Transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) are an important class of materials with many applications such as low emissivity coatings, or transparent electrodes for photovoltaics and flat panel displays. Among the possible TCO materials, Al-doped ZnO (AZO) is studied due to its relatively low cost and abundance of the raw materials. READ MORE

5. Nanoscale Characterisation of Barriers to Electron Conduction in ZnO Varistor Materials
Abstract : The work presented in this thesis is concerned with the microstructure of zinc oxide varistor materials used in surge protecting devices. This class of material has been characterised with special emphasis on the functional microstructure and the development of the microstructure during sintering. READ MORE
