1. Single-photon multiple ionization processes studied by electron coincidence spectroscopy
Abstract : This thesis is based on studies of multiple ionization of atoms and molecules induced by the absorption of a single photon. For the experimental investigations a time-of-flight magnetic bottle spectrometer has been used to detect the emitted electrons in coincidence. READ MORE

2. Dissociation dynamics of highly excited molecules: Theory and Experiment
Abstract : This thesis presents studies on dissociation of two model molecules: Butadiene and Cyclopropane. Tunable synchrotron radiation was used to ionize or excite the molecules in the gas phase, and the momentum correlation of the resulting fragment ions were measured using a 3D momenta coincident ion spectroscopy. 3. Static and Dynamic Correlation Effects in Atoms
Abstract : The thesis considers the effects of electron correlation by studying the two opposite limits of atoms in the ground state and atoms in strong laser pulses. Computational methods and theoretical approaches differ significantly due to the different physical processes that are studied in these two cases. READ MORE

4. Soft X-ray Scattering Dynamics Close to Core Ionization Thresholds in Atoms and Molecules
Abstract : In this Thesis studies of highly excited states in gas-phase atoms and molecules (He, Ne, N2, O2, N2O and CO2) using a variety of synchrotron-radiation based techniques are presented. The three techniques used most frequently are X-ray-emission-threshold-electron coincidence (XETECO), X-ray emission spectroscopy (XES) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and they are all given a brief introduction. 5. Multi-Electron Coincidence Studies of Atoms and Molecules
Abstract : This thesis concerns multi-ionization coincidence measurements of atoms and small molecules using a magnetic bottle time-of-flight (TOF) spectrometer designed for multi-electron coincidence studies. Also, a time-of-flight mass spectrometer has been used together with the TOF electron spectrometer for electron-ion coincidence measurements. READ MORE
