    Abstract : Recent literature shows that there is a significant potential of decarbonisation and efficiency improvement that can be achieved through the synergy from multi-energy systems (MESs). Coupling technologies, such as co-generation plants, heat pumps and thermal storages are widely recommended as means of unlocking additional flexibility and increasing the penetration of renewables in the heating and electricity sectors. Abstract : Efficiency improvement is an important aspect to reduce the use of fossil-based fuel in order to achieve a sustainable future. Gas turbines are mainly fossil-fuel based turbomachines, and, therefore, efficiency improvement is still the subject of many on-going research activities in the gas turbine community. READ MORE

  4. 4. Mitochondrial Energy Metabolism : Kgd4 is a novel subunit of the α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase complex

    Author : Manfred Heublein; Martin Ott; Flavia Fontanesi; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mitochondria; α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase; Kgd4; Krebs cycle; Biochemistry; biokemi;

    Abstract : Mitochondria are essential organelles of eukaryotic cells and are responsible for their energy metabolism. The citric acid cycle, a chain of redox reactions in the mitochondrial matrix, is a central metabolic hub. READ MORE

  5. 5. Numerical and Experimental Investigations of Design Parameters Defining Gas Turbine Nozzle Guide Vane Endwall Heat Transfer

    Author : Frank G. Rubensdörffer; Torsten Fransson; Albin Bölcs; KTH; []
