  1. 1. SERVICE-ORIENTED ARCHITECTURE : AN INNOVATION PROCESS PERSPECTIVE

    Author : Annika Granebring; Péter Révay; Anita Håkansson; John Sören Pettersson; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer and systems science; Data- och systemvetenskap; Industriell ekonomi och organisation;

    Abstract : In traditional information systems for the grocery retail trade, the different parts are strongly dependent of each other. Should one function change, the whole system must be rebuilt which is expensive and time consuming. The result is that many necessary process improvements are never done. READ MORE

  2. 2. Component-Oriented Software System Architectures

    Author : Lars Jakobsson; Remigijus Gustas; Benkt Wangler; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Software Architecture; Software Component; Enterprise Modeling; Software Development; Software Life Cycle; Development Process; System Architecture; Information Systems; Informatik;

    Abstract : When designing and developing software systems, there are several challenges that have to be addressed such as complexity, change management and system integrity. Trends in development processes, programming languages and software design are constantly changing. READ MORE

  3. 3. Transformation of business collaboration in a digital age : Towards a multi-relation perspective

    Author : Jwan Khisro; Katarina L Gidlund; Thomas Persson Slumpi; Gustaf Juell-Skielse; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : Boundary object; digitalisation; enterprise architecture; enterprise interoperability; multi-relation collaboration;

    Abstract : The process of digitalisation is progressively transforming the way business is carried out and how enterprises collaborate. In this digital age, characterised by collaborations among a larger community of suppliers, customers, employees, and governments, all partners need to understand avariety of relations and how digitalisation transforms them. 4. 4. Development of a new service-oriented modelling method for information systems analysis and design

    Author : Prima Gustiené; Anders G Nilsson; Sten Carlsson; William Wei Song; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Information systems analysis and design; conceptual modeling; service orientation; semantic integrity; static and dynamic aspects; goal modeling.; Informatics; Informatik; Information Systems; Informatik;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a new modelling method for information systems analysis and design, where the concept of service and the principles of service orientation are used for integrated modelling and reasoning about information systems architectures across organisational and technical systems boundaries. The concept of service enables cohesion of the intersubjective and objective modelling traditions by using a single type of diagram that facilitates detection of semantic inconsistency, incompleteness, ambiguity and discontinuity between the static and dynamic aspects of information systems specifications. 5. 5. Problems in public e-service development

    Author : Håkan Sundberg; Karl W Sandberg; Anita Miriamsdotter; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; E-government; e-services; business processes; development processes; stovepipe organisations; case study; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : This thesis focuses on the general problem of integration and co-operation between business and IT organisations, and on the specific problem of co-ordinating the development process across stovepiped departments that do not collaborate cross-functionally. The purpose is to increase knowledge and understanding about public organisations’ difficulties in meeting their customers’ and the organisation’s needs for electronic services. READ MORE
