    Abstract : Cyclic AMP is an intracellular messenger that regulates numerous processes in various types of cells. In pancreatic β-cells, cAMP potentiates the secretion of insulin by promoting Ca2+ signals and by amplifying Ca2+-triggered exocytosis.
