  1. 1. Exercise Testing in Firefighters : Work Capacity and Cardiovascular Risk Assessment in a Low-Risk Population

    Author : Anna Carlén; Eva Nylander; Mikael Gustafsson; Meriam Åström Aneq; Henrik Engblom; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Background. Firefighting is one of the most physically demanding occupations and it requires a high cardiorespiratory fitness level. READ MORE

  2. 2. Exercise-induced laryngeal obstruction : Prevalence, laryngeal findings and evaluation of treatment

    Author : Katarina Norlander; Leif Nordang; Malin Svensson; Riitta Möller; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Exercise; laryngeal obstruction; bronchoconstriction; CLE-score; EILOMEA;

    Abstract : Exercise-induced laryngeal obstruction (EILO) is one of many different causes for adolescents to experience dyspnoea during exercise. Objective exercise-testing with continuous video laryngoscopy is crucial for a correct diagnosis since it is difficult to differentiate EILO from other exercise related conditions in the airways only on the symptomatology. 3. 3. Model-Based Protocol Testing in an Erlang Environment

    Author : Johan Blom; Bengt Jonsson; Sven-Olof Nyström; Bernhard Aichernig; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Testing; Erlang; Model-Based Testing; Symbolic Execution; Communication Protocols; Datavetenskap; Computer Science;

    Abstract : Testing is the dominant technique for quality assurance of software systems. It typically consumes considerable resources in development projects, and is often performed in an ad hoc manner. This thesis is concerned with model-based testing, which is an approach to make testing more systematic and more automated. READ MORE

  4. 4. Physical Training and Testing in Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

    Author : Ragnheiður Harpa Arnardóttir; Gunnar Boman; Kjell Larsson; Margareta Emtner; Hans Hedenström; Sven Larsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Physical therapy; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; pulmonary rehabilitation; physical training; endurance training; interval training; health-related quality of life; exercise testing; walking tests; physiotherapy; Sjukgymnastik;

    Abstract : The overall aims of the studies were to investigate the effects of different training modalities on exercise capacity and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with moderate or severe COPD and, further, to explore two of the physical tests used in pulmonary rehabilitation.In study I, the 12-minute walking distance (12MWD) did not increase on retesting in patients with exercise-induced hypoxemia (EIH) whereas 12MWD increased significantly on retesting in the non-EIH patients. 5. 5. Testing Safety-Critical Systems using Fault Injection and Property-Based Testing

    Author : Benjamin Vedder; Magnus Jonsson; Andreas Johansson; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fault Injection; FaultCheck; Property-Based Testing; Simulation; Fault Model; Quadcopter; E2E;

    Abstract : Testing software-intensive systems can be challenging, especially when safety requirements are involved. Property-Based Testing (PBT) is a software testing technique where properties about software are specified and thousands of test cases with a wide range of inputs are automatically generated based on these properties.
