1. Anchorage in Concrete Structures : Numerical and Experimental Evaluations of Load-Carrying Capacity of Cast-in-Place Headed Anchors and Post-Installed Adhesive Anchors
Abstract : Various anchorage systems including both cast-in-place and post-installed anchors have been developed for fastening both non-structural and structural components to concrete structures. The need for increased flexibility in the design of new structures and strengthening of existing concrete structures has led to increased use of various metallic anchors in practice. READ MORE

2. Structural assessment procedures for existing concrete bridges : Experiences from failure tests of the Kiruna Bridge
Abstract : Assessing existing bridges is an important task in the sustainable management ofinfrastructure. In practice, structural bridge assessments are usually conducted usingtraditional and standardised methods, despite knowledge that these methods oftenprovide conservative estimates. READ MORE

3. CONCRETE FORM[ing]WORK : Design, Fabrication, Simulation and Correlation of Parametrically Patterned Flexible Formwork and Concrete
Abstract : Concrete is one of the most commonly used construction materials, yet industrial fabrication continues to default to established standards of planar formwork and uniform cross-sections for the sake of simplicity and predictability. The research conducted within Concrete Form[ing]work explored alternative methods of producing concrete formwork with a simple, technical re-imagination of material: exchanging the familiar, i. 4. Concrete Bridges : Improved Load Capacity
Abstract : There are many beautiful old structures around the world, some of which were designed for completely different purposes than their current applications. For example, Swedish railway bridges were only designed to carry axle loads up to 200 kN in the beginning of the 20th century, while modern loads can be twice as high. READ MORE

5. Reliability-based assessment procedures for existing concrete structures
Abstract : A feasibility study of reliability theory as a tool for the assessment of present safety and residual service life of damaged concrete structures has been performed in order to find a transparent methodology for the assessment procedure. It is concluded that the current guidelines are open to interpretation and that the variation in the results obtained regarding the structural safety is too great to be acceptable. READ MORE
