  1. 1. Switch-Level Fault Simulation Based on Local Algorithms

    Author : Peter Dahlgren; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; switch level; fault propagation; fault simulation; physical fault injection; short faults; stuck-at faults; fault modeling; transients; self-checking circuits; multiple dominance;

    Abstract : The presence of realistic faults in CMOS networks, such as shorts and opens, frequently gives rise to intermediate voltage values. At the switch level, these values result in undetermined logic states (X) which are likely to propagate to the outputs, causing uncertainty in the estimation of test set efficiency. READ MORE

  2. 2. Modeling and Analysis of PMSM with Turn-To-Turn Fault

    Author : Joachim Härsjö; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; electromagnetic forces; vibration.; inter-turn; fault; fault detection; turn-to-turn fault; Permanent magnet synchronous machine PMSM modeling;

    Abstract : Thanks to its high-torque density and high efficiency, the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) is today used in a vast range of applications, spanning from automotive to wind. Since in a PMSM the excitation field is provided by a permanent magnet instead of a coil, this machine does not have a rotor circuit and thereby the risk for electrical failures can be isolated on the stator circuit. 3. 3. Modeling of PMSM Full Power Converter Wind Turbine with Turn-To-Turn Fault

    Author : Joachim Härsjö; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; turn-to-turn; full power converter wind turbine; permanent magnet synchronous machine PMSM modeling; fault detection.; fault; Wind turbine modeling; Wind energy;

    Abstract : Over the past several years the number of renewable energy installations has shown a strong increase rate. Due to the ambition to close down fossil and nuclear power plants, this rate of increase is not expected to decline during the coming decades. In particular, wind energy represents one of the most dominant renewable energy sources. READ MORE

  4. 4. Learning-based Testing for Automotive Embedded Systems : A requirements modeling and Fault injection study

    Author : Hojat Khosrowjerdi; Karl Meinke; Dilian Gurov; Cristina Seceleanu; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Machine learning; fault injection; requirements testing; embedded systems; model checking; automotive software; requirements modeling; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Abstract : This thesis concerns applications of learning-based testing (LBT) in the automotive domain. In this domain, LBT is an attractive testing solution, since it offers a highly automated technology to conduct safety critical requirements testing based on machine learning. READ MORE

  5. 5. Modeling of Wind Turbines for Power System Studies

    Author : Tomas Petru; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; flicker; fault response; power quality; wind turbine; power system stability; measurements; prediction; verification; grid simulation; modeling;

    Abstract : The power quality impact of wind turbines on the electric grid and the response of the wind turbines to faults in the electric grid are investigated in this thesis. A detailed model of a stall-regulated, fixed-speed wind turbine system capable of predicting the flicker impact on the connected grid is presented and compared with field measurements. READ MORE
