  1. 1. Switch-Level Fault Simulation Based on Local Algorithms

    Author : Peter Dahlgren; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; switch level; fault propagation; fault simulation; physical fault injection; short faults; stuck-at faults; fault modeling; transients; self-checking circuits; multiple dominance;

    Abstract : The presence of realistic faults in CMOS networks, such as shorts and opens, frequently gives rise to intermediate voltage values. At the switch level, these values result in undetermined logic states (X) which are likely to propagate to the outputs, causing uncertainty in the estimation of test set efficiency. READ MORE

  2. 2. Modeling and Analysis of PMSM with Turn-To-Turn Fault

    Author : Joachim Härsjö; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; electromagnetic forces; vibration.; inter-turn; fault; fault detection; turn-to-turn fault; Permanent magnet synchronous machine PMSM modeling;

    Abstract : Thanks to its high-torque density and high efficiency, the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) is today used in a vast range of applications, spanning from automotive to wind. Since in a PMSM the excitation field is provided by a permanent magnet instead of a coil, this machine does not have a rotor circuit and thereby the risk for electrical failures can be isolated on the stator circuit. 3. 3. Fault Isolation in Distributed Embedded Systems

    Author : Jonas Biteus; Erik Frisk; Jan Eric Larsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : Fault diagnosis; Fault isolation; Distributed diagnosis; Embedded systems; Fault tree analysis.; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : To improve safety, reliability, and efficiency of automotive vehicles and other technical applications, embedded systems commonly use fault diagnosis consisting of fault detection and isolation. Since many systems are constructed as distributed embedded systems including multiple control units, it is necessary to perform global fault isolation using for example a central unit. READ MORE

  5. 5. Modeling of PMSM Full Power Converter Wind Turbine with Turn-To-Turn Fault

    Author : Joachim Härsjö; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; turn-to-turn; full power converter wind turbine; permanent magnet synchronous machine PMSM modeling; fault detection.; fault; Wind turbine modeling; Wind energy;

    Abstract : Over the past several years the number of renewable energy installations has shown a strong increase rate. Due to the ambition to close down fossil and nuclear power plants, this rate of increase is not expected to decline during the coming decades. In particular, wind energy represents one of the most dominant renewable energy sources. READ MORE
