1. Cellulose–Assisted Dispersion of Carbon Nanotubes : From Colloids to Composites
Abstract : It is a challenge to disperse nanoparticles to obtain a nanostructured composite. This thesis aims at providing a new route to fabricate carbon nanotube (CNT) composites and suggests mechanisms for nanocellulose–CNT interactions. This route is based on unmodified CNT dispersed in water with the help of nanocellulose. READ MORE

2. Wood fiber composites : processing, structure and properties
Abstract : The goal of this work has been to investigate how to make wood polymer composite materials with good mechanical properties, which also could be tailored for different applications. The fundamental idea behind the work was that good mechanical properties of the composite material require that the stiffness and strength of the wood cell wall material are really utilized. 3. Wood fiber composites : from processing and structure to mechanical performance
Abstract : The work presented in this thesis has been focused on the mechanical properties of wood fiber composites. One goal has been to investigate the processing of wood polymer composite materials with good mechanical properties, and how to tailor these properties for different applications. READ MORE

4. Natural fiber composites : optimization of microstructure and processing parameters
Abstract : Natural fiber composites, (NFC) are defined in this work as a group of materials where at least the fibers originates from renewable and CO2 neutral resources. NFC consists of a polymer matrix and a natural fiber. The fibers which originate from wood or plants can replace non-renewable fibers or fillers or simply replace part of the plastic. READ MORE

5. Nanostructured Cellulose Biocomposites : Effects from dispersion, network and interface
Abstract : The major load bearing component in native wood, cellulose nanofibrils, are potential candidates for use as reinforcement in polymer matrices. This study is based on nanocellulose composites and attempts to prepare and characterize biocomposites with high nanocellulose content and investigate the influence of nanostructure on macroscopic properties.
