    Abstract : Silicon nanowires (SiNW) are in the spotlight for a few years in the research community as a good candidate for biosensing applications. This is attributed to their small dimensions in nanometer scale that offers high sensitivity, label-free detection and at the same time utilizing small amount of sample. READ MORE

  2. 2. Environmental-flow assessments for current and future run-off in a large river system regulated for hydropower production

    Author : Åsa Widén; Roland Jansson; Birgitta Malm-Renöfält; Michael McClain; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Environmental flows; eco-hydrology; hydropower; river ecosystem; environmental benefits; climate change; collaboration; resource management; Ekologisk reglering; vattenkraft; produktionsoptimering; hydrologi; hydraulik; akvatiskt ekosystem; miljönytta; klimatförändringar; samverkan; vattenresurs management;

    Abstract : In 2019, Sweden implemented legislative changes to renegotiate hydropower permits to both consider environmental rehabilitation and to ensure national supply of hydropower. This means that efforts for environmental rehabilitation of the 2,000 hydropower plants in Sweden need to be considered. READ MORE

  3. 3. Translating Lean Production : From Managerial Discourse to Organizational Practice

    Author : Jostein Pettersen; Jörgen Eklund; Mattias Elg; Andreas Hellström; Linköpings universitet; []

    Abstract : The majority of organizational change efforts end in failure. These failures can often be ascribed to lack of understanding of the translation processes that accompany the implementation of management concepts. READ MORE

  4. 4. Waves of fashion : The consuming production of management control

    Author : Andreas Backlund Björke; Ulf Johanson; Stefan Tengblad; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Management control; SMEs; fashion; happiness; rhetoric; aesthetics; theorization; innovation; Business studies; Företagsekonomi; industriell ekonomi och organisation; Industrial Economics and Organisations;

    Abstract : The responsiveness of organizational leaders regarding suggestions related to various managerial techniques has led to the coinage of the ‘management fashion’ idiom. It has been convincingly argued that phenomena like management control systems are prone to trends, and that such trends permeate into the daily life of managers through the use of persuasive rhetoric. Abstract : The subject of this thesis is the evolution and dynamics of the plasma environment of a moderately active comet before, during and after its closest approach to the Sun. For over 2 years in 2014-2016, the European Space Agency’s Rosetta spacecraft followed the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko at distances typically between a few tens and a few hundred kilometers from the nucleus, the longest and closest inspection of a comet ever made.
