  1. 1. Fullerene γ-Cyclodextrin Complexes

    Author : Thomas Andersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; C60; a-cyclodextrin; aggregates; FAB LSIMS; Buckminsterfullerene; g-cyclodextrin; b-cyclodextrin; ring-currents; fullerene; host-guest; C70;

    Abstract : The fullerenes, C60 and C70, can form inclusion complexes with .gamma.-cyclodextrin as the host. The complexes are formed by refluxing a water solution of . READ MORE

  2. 2. Electron transfer and fragmentation in fullerene collisions

    Author : Henning Zettergren; Henrik Cederquist; Paul-Antoine Hervieux; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fullerene; Physics; Fysik;

    Abstract : In this thesis, we present results from detailed gas phase studies of intrinsic properties of fullerenes (C60) and clusters of fullerenes as probed by slow multiply charged (atomic or cluster) ions in combination with coincidence time-of-flight mass spectrometry. We have investigated the structures, stabilities, and the electron mobilities of multiply charged clusters of fullerenes, (C60)nr+ (r=2-5). READ MORE

  3. 3. Hydroarylation of Fullerene C60 Using Arylboronic Acids via Rhodium Catalysis : Improving the Outcomes and Simplifying the Conditions

    Author : Merve Ergun Dönmez; Helena Grennberg; Luke Odell; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fullerene; C60; hydroarylation; Chemistry with specialization in Organic Chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot organisk kemi;

    Abstract : Hydroarylation with arylboronic acids is one of the functionalization methods for synthesis of modified fullerenes. In this work, we provide a fast and reproducible one-phase method for hydroarylation of fullerene using boronic acids and an analytical HPLC method that efficiently separates unreacted C60 and product from a hydroarylation reaction mixture as well as a fulleropyrrolidine reaction mixture. 4. 4. New Fullerene Materials Obtained in Solution and by High Pressure High Temperature Treatment

    Author : Alexandr Talyzin; B. Sundqvist; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; fullerene; solution; high pressure; Raman spectroscopy; polymerisation; XRD; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi; Inorganic Chemistry; oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : Crystallization of C60 and C70 from organic solution often leads to the formation of new solvates and other fullerene compounds. In the present thesis, a number of such solvates were obtained and their phase transitions studied using in situ "in solution" techniques. READ MORE

  5. 5. Evolution and control of the three dimensional functional microstructure of Polymer:Fullerene photovoltaic blends

    Author : Olof Bäcke; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; crosslinking; fullerene crystals; tomography; transmission electron mi- croscopy; organic solar cell; in situ; polymer:fullerene film; thermal degradation;

    Abstract : Polymer:fullerene bulk-heterojunction thin films show great promise for use as active layers in organic solar cells. However, their low thermal stability is a hindrance that complicates the manufacturing and influences the lifetime of devices. READ MORE
