  1. 1. Optimistic Replication with Forward Conflict Resolution in Distributed Real-Time Databases

    Author : Sanny Syberfeldt; Sten Andler; Jörgen Hansson; Sang H. Son; Alejandro Buchmann; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Distributed Systems; Real-Time Systems; Databases; Replication; Optimistic Protocol; Conflict Resolution; Computer science; Datalogi; Teknik;

    Abstract : In this thesis a replication protocol - PRiDe - is presented, which supports optimistic replication in distributed real-time databases with deterministic detection and forward resolution of transaction conflicts. The protocol is designed to emphasize node autonomy, allowing individual applications to proceed without being affected by distributed operation. READ MORE

  3. 3. A Programming Language for Data Privacy with Accuracy Estimations

    Author : Elisabet Lobo Vesga; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Differential Privacy; Functional Programming; Databases; Haskell; Accuracy; Concentration Bounds;

    Abstract : Differential privacy offers a formal framework for reasoning about the privacy and accuracy of computations on private data. It also offers a rich set of building blocks for constructing private data analyses. READ MORE

  4. 4. Scalable Preservation, Reconstruction, and Querying of Databases in terms of Semantic Web Representations

    Author : Silvia Stefanova; Tore Risch; Stefan Decker; Uppsala universitet; []

    Abstract : This Thesis addresses how Semantic Web representations, in particular RDF, can enable flexible and scalable preservation, recreation, and querying of databases.An approach has been developed for selective scalable long-term archival of relational databases (RDBs) as RDF, implemented in the SAQ (Semantic Archive and Query) system. 5. 5. Ontology-Driven Data Access and Data Integration with an Application in the Materials Design Domain

    Author : Huanyu Li; Patrick Lambrix; Nahid Shahmehri; Rickard Armiento; Olaf Hartig; Mari Carmen Suárez‐Figueroa; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : The Semantic Web aims to make data on the web machine-readable by introducing semantics to the data. Ontologies are one of the critical technologies in the Semantic Web. READ MORE
