1. Quest for quantum signatures in Axion Dark Matter and Gravity
Abstract : This licentiate thesis in theoretical physics focuses on the existence of quantum features in physical systems such as axion dark matter and gravity. Our focus is mostly on effects which appear at low energies, a regime in which our models can be confronted with current experiments or within the foreseeable future. READ MORE

2. Spatial analysis and modeling of urban transportation networks
Abstract : Transport systems in general, and urban transportation systems in particular, are the backbone of a country or a city, therefore play an intrinsic role in the socio-economic development. There have been numerous studies on real transportation systems from multiple fileds, including geography, urban planning, and engineering. READ MORE

3. Modelling and Simulation of Turbulent Gas-Solid Flows applied to Fluidization
Abstract : Modelling of gas-solid suspensions has been studied with emphasis on suitable closure laws. A study of characteristic time scales and energy dissipation mechanisms is made for the case of a simple shear flow. Applications of the modelling are presented in the form of simulation and validation of experiments in fluidized beds. READ MORE

4. Analysis of Dynamic Flight Loads
Abstract : This thesis deals with the determination of loads on an aircraft struc- ture during flight. The focus is on flight conditions where the loads are significantly time-dependent. Analysis of flight loads is primarily motivated to ensure that structural failure is avoided. READ MORE

5. Defining rape : emerging obligations for states under international law?
Abstract : The prevalence of rape and its widespread impunity, whether committed during armed conflict or peacetime, has been firmly condemned by the UN and its prohibition has been consistently recognised in international law. This development, however, is a rather novel endeavour. READ MORE
