1. Some numerical and analytical methods for equations of wave propagation and kinetic theory
Abstract : This thesis consists of two different parts, related to two different fields in mathematical physics: wave propagation and kinetic theory of gases. Various mathematical and computational problems for equations from these areas are treated. READ MORE

2. Verification of Distributed Erlang Programs using Testing, Model Checking and Theorem Proving
Abstract : Software infiltrates every aspect of modern society. Production, transportation, entertainment, and almost every other sphere that influences modern living are either directly or indirectly dependent on software systems. READ MORE

4. Properties of Protein and Polymer Systems
Abstract : Interactions of proteins with other proteins, with polymers and with surfaces are of great practical importance within for instance protein purification, drug delivery, and food technology. The aim of this work is to increase the understanding of protein-protein, protein-polyelectrolyte, and protein-surface interactions, particularly concerning the role of electrostatic interactions in these systems. 5. Scattering Studies of Macromolecules in Solution
Abstract : The sphere-to-rod transition of nonionic micelles of the PEO-PPO-PEO triblock copolymer P123 and the surfactant C12EO6 was studied using dynamic and static light scattering, small angel X-ray scattering, rheology and calorimetry. The transition temperature was dependent of the C12EO6/P123 molar ratio, which means that a larger content of C12EO6 yields a higher transition temperature. READ MORE
