5. Cost-benefit analysis of labor market programs : Applied to a temporary program in northern Sweden
Abstract : The study's objective is to evaluate the relief works and special projects that were in effect during the period 1983-1986 due to the labor force reduction of almost 2 000 persons at the LKAB Mining Company in 1983. These reductions caused the Swedish Parliament to set up a special labor market policy organization, the Malmfältsdelegation, which besides initiating relief works and special projects also functioned as an employment exchange, an employability assessment center, and a training organizer.
