  1. 1. INNOVATION AUDITING THE AUDIT & THE AUDITOR : (from the perspective of the internal auditor)

    Author : Helena Karlsson; Erik Bjurström; Huizingh Eelko; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Innovation and Design; innovation och design;

    Abstract : There are many innovation audits that aim to contribute to increased innovativeness through systematic monitoring and review. In line with this the purpose of this study is to build knowledge that increases both the academic and the practical user-value of innovation audits. READ MORE

  2. 2. Privacy-aware Use of Accountability Evidence

    Author : Jenni Reuben; Simone Fischer-Hübner; Siani Pearson; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Privacy; accountability; audit; evidence; system traces; provenance; access control; privacy compliance; security; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with the evidence that enable accountability, the privacy risks involved in using them and a privacy-aware solution to the problem of unauthorized evidence disclosure. Legal means to protect privacy of an individual is anchored on the data protection perspective i.e., on the responsible collection and use of personal data. 3. 3. Attacking and Defending the Privacy of Clinical Language Models

    Author : Thomas Vakili; Hercules Dalianis; Aron Henriksson; Aurélie Névéol; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; data- och systemvetenskap; Computer and Systems Sciences;

    Abstract : The state-of-the-art methods in natural language processing (NLP) increasingly rely on large pre-trained transformer models. The strength of the models stems from their large number of parameters and the enormous amounts of data used to train them. The datasets are of a scale that makes it difficult, if not impossible, to audit them manually. READ MORE

  4. 4. Live Streaming in P2P and Hybrid P2P-Cloud Environments for the Open Internet

    Author : Amir H. Payberah; Seif Haridi; Anwitaman Datta; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Peer-to-Peer (P2P) live media streaming is an emerging technology that reduces the barrier to stream live events over the Internet. However, providing a high quality media stream using P2P overlay networks is challenging and gives raise to a number of issues: (i) how to guarantee quality of the service (QoS) in the presence of dynamism, (ii) how to incentivize nodes to participate in media distribution, (iii) how to avoid bottlenecks in the overlay, and (iv) how to deal with nodes that reside behind Network Address Translators gateways (NATs).     Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cloud Security; Trusted Computing; Trustworthy Clouds; Cloud Audits; Security Automation; SCAP; Virtual Machine; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : The evolution of cloud computing allows the provisioning of IT resources over the Internet and promises many benefits for both - the service users and providers. Despite various benefits offered by cloud based services, many users hesitate in moving their IT systems to the cloud mainly due to many new security problems introduced by cloud environments.
