  1. 1. Signal Processing Approaches for Interference Mitigation in Automotive Radar Systems

    Author : Muhammad Rameez; Mats Pettersson; Mattias Dahl; Saleh Javadi; Igal Bilik; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; automotive radar; autoregressive modeling; digital beamforming; interference mitigation; machine learning; mutual interference; pulse compression; radar signal processing; signal reconstruction; Systemteknik; Systems Engineering;

    Abstract : Modern vehicles have several autonomous and semi-autonomous features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, adaptive headlights, and automatic emergency braking, ensuring a safe and comfortable driving experience. The vehicles typically rely on different sensors to "see" their surroundings and make decisions accordingly. READ MORE

  2. 2. Sensor Networks and Their Radio Environment : On Testbeds, Interference, and Broken Packets

    Author : Frederik Hermans; Per Gunningberg; Edith Ngai; Andreas Terzis; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Sensor networks; Testbed; Mobility; Interference classification; Packet corruption; Computer Science with specialization in Computer Communication; Datavetenskap med inriktning mot datorkommunikation;

    Abstract : Sensor networks consist of small sensing devices that collaboratively fulfill a sensing task, such as monitoring the soil in an agricultural field or measuring vital signs in a marathon runner. To avoid cumbersome and expensive cabling, nodes in a sensor network are powered by batteries and communicate wirelessly. READ MORE

  3. 3. Interference with biological rhythm : a novel approach to metabolic disorders in women

    Author : Roger Karlsson; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Growth hormone; GH; cholecystokinin; CCK; osteocalcin; angiotensinogen; diurnal variation; oral contraception; pregnancy; menopause;

    Abstract : Women seem to be largely protected against certain ‘welfare disorders’ such as cardiovacular disease and osteoporosis, during their fertile years.The metabolic changes observed during women’s non-menstrual states, i.e. READ MORE

  4. 4. Quantitative electromyographic studies of the perineal muscles in normal subjects and patients suffering from anal or urinary incontinence

    Author : Øystein Aanestad; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Surgery; Interference pattern; quantitative EMG; perineal muscles; anal and urinary incontinence; Kirurgi; Surgery; Kirurgi; kirurgi; särskilt urologi; Urology;

    Abstract : The aims of the study were to characterize the interference pattern in perineal muscles in healthy subjects with the use of quantitative EMG techniques, to evaluate if prostatic surgery had any effect on the interference pattern and furthermore to examine the interference pattern in the perineal muscles in patients suffering from urinary or anal incontinence.The interference pattern in the perineal muscles was examined with a computerized analysis, the Turns and Amplitude (T/A) analysis, and the innervation pattern of the muscles was examined with single fiber electromyography measuring the fiber density. 5. 5. Channel Related Optimization of Wireless Communication Systems

    Author : Fredrik Tufvesson; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; time division duplex; multicarrier; Radio communication; orthogonal frequency division multiplex; channel estimation; pilot symbol assisted modulation; sub-channel spacing; sub-channel bandwidth; interchannel interference; cyclic prefix; intersymbol interference; Rayleigh fading; precoding; pre-compensation;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with different optimization problems in the design of wireless communication systems. It is mainly directed to the design of systems based on multicarrier techniques and orthogonal frequency division multiplex, OFDM, but some of the problems apply to single carrier systems as well.
