    Author : Anna Hagman; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Turner syndrome; obstetric and neonatal outcome; Turner karyotype; pregnancy; maternal characteristics; neonatal chracterisitics;

    Abstract : Turner karyotype and childbirth Anna Hagman, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Institute of Clinical Sciences, the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, 2013. anna.c.hagman@vgregion. READ MORE

  2. 2. Dentofacial morphology in Turner Syndrome karyotypes

    Author : Sara Rizell; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; orthodontics; Turner syndrome; genetics; karyotype; geno-phanotype correlation; anthropometrics; craniofacial morphology; dental arch; dental crown width; enamel; primary teeth; elemental composition;

    Abstract : The overall aim of this thesis was to study dentofacial morphology in Turner syndrome (TS) versus controls and the influence hereupon from karyotype. One hundred thirty two TS females (5-66 years of age), from Göteborg, Uppsala and Umeå were participating. READ MORE

  3. 3. Cytogenetic abnormalities in Acute Myeloid Leukemia in Sweden. A population based study

    Author : Vladimir Lazarevic; Stamcellscentrum (SCC); []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; AML; karyotype; population-based studies; prognosis; chromosomes; hyperdiploidy;

    Abstract : The impact of cytogenetic findings in AML was analyzed in the large population-based Swedish AML registry. Karyotypic patterns differed by age: t(8;21), inv(16) and t(11q23) were more common in younger patients, whereas loss of 5q, 7q and 17p, monosomal karyotype (MK) and complex karyotype (CK) were more common in older patients. 4. 4. Clinical - cytogenetic correlations in malignant hematologic disorders

    Author : Nils Mauritzson; Avdelningen för hematologi och transfusionsmedicin; []

    Abstract : In the present thesis, clinicogenetic correlations are investigated in a large population-based series of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and chronic myeloid leukemia, for which the karyotypes were analyzed at the same center. The karyotypic pattern, i.e. READ MORE

  5. 5. Rates and patterns of genome evolution in Lepidoptera

    Author : Karin Näsvall; Niclas Backström; Simon Martin; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chromosomal rearrangements; karyotype evolution; recombination rate; Lepidoptera; genome structure; molecular evolution; Biology with specialization in Evolutionary Genetics; Biologi med inriktning mot evolutionär genetik;

    Abstract : The evolutionary consequences of genome restructuring and chromosomal rearrangements can be significant, but the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood. This thesis explores the relationships between genome restructuring, recombination, and maintenance of genetic diversity in different butterfly species. READ MORE
