  1. 1. Tracking selective attention in a musical cocktail

    Author : Cassia Low Manting; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The cocktail party effect refers to mankind’s ability to focus attention on a single sound within noisy or complex auditory environments, in order to extract the most behaviourally-relevant information present. To investigate this cognitive phenomenon in a precise manner, we used frequency-tagging to separate neural auditory steady-state responses (ASSRs), which are specific to the driving frequency of each auditory source, from a neural mix elicited by multiple simultaneous stimuli. 2. 2. Product Introduction in Low-volume Manufacturing : from an Information Quality Perspective

    Author : Siavash Javadi; Koteshwar Chirumalla; Jessica Bruch; Anna Öhrwall Rönnbäck; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Innovation and Design; innovation och design;

    Abstract : Manufacturing companies must continually innovate and introduce new products to compete globally, relying on a well-executed product introduction process for success. This involves a successful transition from design to production, ensuring alignment between product and production systems. READ MORE

    Abstract : In many fields of science, engineering, and economics large amounts of data are stored and there is a need to analyze these data in order to extract information for various purposes. Data mining is a general concept involving different tools for performing this kind of analysis. READ MORE

  4. 4. Minimal volume ventilation in lung injury : With special reference to apnea and buffer treatment

    Author : Staffan Höstman; Anders Larsson; Hans Hjelmqvist; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; VILI; THAM; buffers; apneic oxygenation; respiratory acidosis; hypercapnia; low volume ventilation; mechanical ventilation; ultra-protective ventilation; Anestesiologi och intensivvård; Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care;

    Abstract : A fairly large portion of patients receiving surgical or intensive care will need mechanical ventilation at some point. The potential ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI) is thus of interest. One of the main causal factors in VILI is the cyclic energy shifts, i.e. READ MORE

  5. 5. Low Voltage CMOS Radio Receiver Front-End Design

    Author : Fred Tillman; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Elektroteknik; Electrical engineering; Elektronik; Electronics; Elektronik och elektroteknik; Electronics and Electrical technology; Polyphase Filter; Quadrature Signals; Nonlinearity; Distortion; Passive Mixer; Mixer; Low Noise Amplifier; CMOS; Front-End; Low Voltage; Radio; Receiver;

    Abstract : The mass production of integrated circuits for digital electronics has made CMOS technology the most frequently used IC process today. Thanks to the large production volume, CMOS has increasingly become the most cost efficient technology of choice, and the fast development of small, high speed CMOS devices has made the technology feasible for many RF applications.
