  1. 1. Navigating Manufacturing Firms to Service-led Business Models

    Author : Marin Jovanovic; Mats Engwall; Anna Jerbrant; Glenn Parry; KTH; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; servitization; service transition strategy; service business models; outcome-based contracts; Industrial Economics and Management; Industriell ekonomi och organisation;

    Abstract : This thesis tackles an increasingly popular phenomenon – servitization of manufacturing – a growth opportunity for industrial firms through a service-led business model. However, implementing a servitization strategy in industrial firms triggers multifaceted challenges and requires further research. READ MORE

  2. 2. Impact of paperboard deformation and damage mechanisms on packaging performance

    Author : Gustav Marin; Sören Östlund; Mikael Nygårds; Tomasz Garbowski; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Solid Mechanics; Hållfasthetslära;

    Abstract : Paper-based materials, such as paperboard, are commonly used as packaging materials. In addition to the fact that paper is renewable, there are also many other benefits of paperboard. READ MORE

  3. 3. On the relation between paperboard properties and packaging performance

    Author : Gustav Marin; Sören Östlund; Mikael Nygårds; Christer Korin; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Solid Mechanics; Hållfasthetslära;

    Abstract : Paper-based materials, such as paperboard, are commonly used as packaging materials. Inaddition to the advantage that wood as a raw material is renewable, there are also many otherbenefits of paperboard. READ MORE

  4. 4. Quadrature rules for boundary integral methods applied to Stokes flow

    Author : Oana Marin; Anna-Karin Tornberg; Fritz Bark; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract :   Fluid phenomena dominated by viscous effects can, in many cases, be modeled by the Stokes equations. The boundary integral form of the Stokes equations reduces the number of degrees of freedom in a numerical discretization by reformulating the threedimensional problem to two-dimensional integral equations to be discretized over the boundaries of the domain. 5. 5. Computational Modeling, Parameterization, and Evaluation of the Spread of Diseases

    Author : Robin Marin; Stefan Engblom; Trevelyan J. McKinley; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Parameter estimation; Bayesian modeling; Stochastic epidemiological models; simulation-based inference; approximate bayesian computations; Scientific Computing; Beräkningsvetenskap;

    Abstract : Computer simulations play a vital role in the modeling of infectious diseases. Different modeling regimes fit specific purposes, from ordinary differential equations to probabilistic formulations. READ MORE
