  1. 1. Microsomal epoxide hydrolase : characterization, induction, and in vitro modulation, of the catalytic activity

    Author : Janeric Seidegård; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Microsomal epoxide hydrolase has been characterized, mainly in the fiver and lung of the rat.A reported radiometric assay using 3H-styrene 7,8-oxide as substrate has been modified by purifying the substrate before use, decreasing the incubation volume, and prolonging the incubation time. 2. 2. Microsomal glutathione transferase

    Author : Ralf Morgenstern; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : A distinct glutathione transferase which can be activated up to eightfold by sulfhydryl reagents was discovered in rat liver microsomes. This enzyme was subsequently purified to apparent homogeneity in 40 % yield using column cromatography. READ MORE

  3. 3. Microsomal glutathione transferase : Species characteristics, catalysis and topology

    Author : Claes Andersson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : The membrane-bound detoxication enzyme microsomal glutathione transferase is localized predominantly in the liver of mammalian species, where it is present in high concentrations in the endoplasmic reticulum and the outer mitochondrial membrane. The enzyme conjugates a broad range of hydrophobic xenobiotics bearing reactive electrophilic centers to glutathione, which facilitates deactivation and excretion. READ MORE

  4. 4. Microsomal prostaglandin E synthase 1 and microsomal glutathione transferase 1 : inhibition and mechanism

    Author : Linda Spahiu; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The Membrane-Associated Proteins in Eicosanoid and Glutathione Metabolism (MAPEG) is a family of six membrane bound proteins with different biological functions. MAPEG superfamily members enable and catalyze reactions where reactive lipid intermediates are either transformed to physiological messengers or turned into unreactive compounds. READ MORE

  5. 5. Studies on three microsomal electron transfer pathways

    Author : Ingela Jansson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : .... READ MORE
