1. Immigrant entrepreneurs in a changing institutional context : a mixed embeddedness approach
Abstract : Immigrant entrepreneurs are known to be heterogeneous in terms of available resources and entrepreneurial outcomes. However, this heterogeneity, as well as immigrant entrepreneurs’ embeddedness in social networks and the institutional context of high-income welfare states such as Sweden, remains understudied. 2. Exploring the Set of Quantum States
Abstract : Quantum mechanical properties of finite dimensional quantum systems are used within the field of quantum information. In this thesis the set of states (density matrices) for such systems is studied and described, largely in geometrical terms. READ MORE

3. Embedding Theorems for Mixed Norm Spaces and Applications
Abstract : This thesis is devoted to the study of mixed norm spaces that arise in connection with embeddings of Sobolev and Besov type spaces. We study different structural, integrability, and smoothness properties of functions satisfying certain mixed norm conditions. Conditions of this type are determined by the behaviour of linear sections of functions. READ MORE

4. Embedding Theorems for Mixed Norm Spaces and Applications
Abstract : This thesis is devoted to the study of mixed norm spaces that arise in connection with embeddings of Sobolev and Besov type spaces. The work in this direction originates in a paper due to Gagliardo (1958), and was continued by Fournier (1988) and by Kolyada (2005). We consider fully anisotropic mixed norm spaces. READ MORE

5. Geometric and Topological Phases with Applications to Quantum Computation
Abstract : Quantum phenomena related to geometric and topological phases are investigated. The first results presented are theoretical extensions of these phases and related effects. Also experimental proposals to measure some of the described effects are outlined. READ MORE
