1. Dynamic Organization of Molecular Machines in Bacteria
Abstract : Bacterial cells were once treated as membrane-enclosed bags of cytoplasm: a homogeneous, undifferentiated suspension in which polymers (proteins, nucleic acids, etc.) and small molecules diffused freely to interact with each other. READ MORE

2. Exploring the Molecular Dynamics of Proteins and Viruses
Abstract : Knowledge about structure and dynamics of the important biological macromolecules — proteins, nucleic acids, lipids and sugars — helps to understand their function. Atomic-resolution structures of macromolecules are routinely captured with X-ray crystallography and other techniques. READ MORE

3. Nucleolar Ribosome Assembly
Abstract : Ribosomes are macromolecular machines that are responsible for production of every protein in a living cell. Yet we do not know the details about how these machines are formed. The ribosome consists of four RNA strands and roughly 80 proteins that associate with each other in the nucleolus and form pre-ribosomal complexes. READ MORE

4. Dietary, Pharmacological and Environmental Effects on Brown Adipose Tissue
Abstract : Obesity is a common health issue; over 12 % of the adult world population have obesity. Obesity has many co-morbidities including cardo-vascular diseases and diabetes. Obesity is the result of chronic positive energy balance, eating too much and expending too little. READ MORE

5. Modeling of voltage-gated ion channels
Abstract : The recent determination of several crystal structures of voltage-gated ion channels has catalyzed computational efforts of studying these remarkable molecular machines that are able to conduct ions across biological membranes at extremely high rates without compromising the ion selectivity. Starting from the open crystal structures, we have studied the gating mechanism of these channels by molecular modeling techniques. READ MORE
