  1. 1. Dissolved and suspended transport of tungsten, molybdenum, and vanadium in natural waters

    Author : Susanne Bauer; Johan Ingri; Carl-Magnus Mörth; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; tungsten; molybdenum; vanadium; Baltic Sea; redox cycling; suspended particles; boreal rivers; Applied Geology; Tillämpad geologi;

    Abstract : Some transition metals and metalloids occur primarily as oxyanions in natural waters including antimony, arsenic, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten and vanadium. These oxyanions can pass through cell walls along the same pathways as phosphate or sulfate. Some of these oxyanions are essential for life, but in high concentrations they become all toxic. 2. 2. Understanding the Role of Molybdenum on the Precipitation in PH Stainless Steels

    Author : MARCUS ANDERSSON; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; silicon; Precipitation; ageing; EFTEM; molybdenum; atom probe.; martensitic PH stainless steel;

    Abstract : The main part of the present work concerns studies of the influence of molybdenum on the microstructure of martensitic PH stainless steels, during ageing at 475°C. A short investigation of the silicon impact has also been conducted. READ MORE

  3. 3. Microfabrication of Tungsten, Molybdenum and Tungsten Carbide Rods by Laser-Assisted CVD

    Author : Kajsa Björklund; Tamas Szörényi; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Laser-assisted CVD; tungsten; molybdenum; tungsten carbide; kinetics; field emission; nanocrystalline; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi; Inorganic Chemistry; oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : Thin films of refractory metals and carbides have been studied extensively over many years because of their wide range of application. The two major techniques used are Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) and Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD). These can result in the deposition of two-dimensional blanket or patterned thin films. 4. 4. Aqueous Exfoliation of Transition Metal Oxides for Energy Storage and Photocatalysis Applications : Vanadium Oxide and Molybdenum Oxide Nanosheets

    Author : Ahmed S. Etman; Junliang Sun; Yury Gogotsi; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; aqueous exfoliation; vanadium oxide nanosheets; molybdenum oxide nanosheets; energy storage; photocatalysis; Inorganic Chemistry; oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : Two-dimensional (2D) transition metal oxides (TMOs) are a category of materials which have unique physical and chemical properties compared to their bulk counterparts. However, the synthesis of 2D TMOs commonly includes the use of environmental threats such as organic solvents. READ MORE

  5. 5. Organomolybdenum Complexes in Organic Synthesis- New methods for the Preparation of Cationic Diene Complexes and Applications to Synthesis

    Author : Emelie Bjurling; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organisk kemi; Organic chemistry; indoles; carbenium ions; hexafluoroisopropanol; hydride abstraction; molybdenum; cationic diene complexes;

    Abstract : Indolyl substituted pyranyl- and cyclohexenyl molybdenum complexes were synthesised through stereoselective nucleophilic addition of indoles to the corresponding cationic 2H-pyran or cyclohexadiene molybdenum complex. Decomplexation of an allylic molybdneum complex by treatment with iodine gave 1-(4-iodo-2-cyclohexenyl)-1H-indole-3-carbonitrile in high regio-selectivity. READ MORE
