3. Risk and prognosis of breast cancer among women at high risk of the disease
Abstract : The overall objectives of this thesis were to increase our understanding of the risk and prognosis of breast cancer using the high risk groups of women with bilateral and familial breast cancer. Data from the Swedish Cancer Register, the Multi-Generation Register and the Cause of Death register was used in Paper I-III to identify women with bilateral cancer and study risk and prognosis of the disease. Abstract : Previous studies have shown that criminal and other externalizing behaviors are associated with several adverse outcomes, but very little is known about the impact of these behaviors beyond middle adulthood. Few studies have explored how a life-course background of criminal and externalizing behaviors influence aging and more specifically, whether it is associated with the onset and development of different neurodegenerative, mental, and physical health disorders when aging.
