1. Structural and Functional Studies of Gas6
Abstract : The vitamin K-dependent and ubiquitously expressed 82 kDa glycoprotein product of the growth-arrest-specific-gene 6, Gas6, shows 44% sequence identity to the anticoagulant protein, protein S. Both proteins share further the same domain organization. READ MORE

2. Identification and Characterization of the Moraxella catarrhalis IgD-binding Protein MID
Abstract : Moraxella catarrhalis is now an established human pathogen that frequently colonizes the upper respiratory tract causing most importantly otitis media in children. It has also been associated with sinusitis, laryngitis and lower respiratory tract infections in adults with predisposing conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). READ MORE

3. Decipher protein complex structures from sequence
Abstract : Proteins are essential constituents of biological systems. A profound understanding of protein structure is significant for unraveling the intricate mechanisms of biological processes. The recent development of computational methods using AI technology is revolutionizing the structural biology field. READ MORE

4. Systems Biology of Recombinant Protein Production by Fungi
Abstract : Systems biology has emerged as a highly potent tool for studying biological processes over the last decades. However, its application to complex metabolic processes such as protein secretion is still at the infant stage. READ MORE

5. Atmospheric pressure ionisation interface considerations for micro column separation with mass spectrometric detection
Abstract : Two miniaturised atmospheric pressure chemical ionisation (APCI) interfaces were developed for micro column separation and their performances were investigated in high temperature open tubular column liquid chromatography and capillary supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC). The most influential parameters, for example, the interface probe position relative to the sampling orifice and the reagent ion plasma composition, were investigated to optimise the ion current signal and stability.
