1. A Simulation-Based Safety Analysis of CACC-Enabled Highway Platooning
Abstract : Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) enable actors in the transport systems to interact and collaborate by exchanging information via wireless communication networks. There are several challenges to overcome before they can be implemented and deployed on public roads. READ MORE

2. The Analysis of Thermal Power Stations and their Interaction with the Power System using Simulator Test Methods
Abstract : This thesis describes a new method of testing power stations with regard to their frequency control behaviour and analyses results obtained using this new method. The test concept is based on that the power station unit to be tested remains synchronized onto its normal strong network, whereas the frequency control behaviour is set up to be that of the conditions if the unit was working on a much smaller network, using a computer based simulator system and feeding simulated control signals to the input of the units frequency control system. 3. Wind Power - Added Value for Network Operation
Abstract : This dissertation deals with the investigation on different value added properties of variable speed wind turbines (VSWT) that stem from the flexible controllability of converter interfaced wind turbines (WT). Improvements in voltage and transient stability of a nearby grid, small-signal stability improvement on the power system, frequency control support for the network operation, as well as thetechnical and the economic issues related to the reactive power ancillary service provision, are among the issues covered. 4. Stochastic Modeling and Simulation of the TCP protocol
Abstract : The success of the current Internet relies to a large extent on a cooperation between the users and the network. The network signals its current state to the users by marking or dropping packets. The users then strive to maximize the sending rate without causing network congestion. READ MORE

5. Speed characteristics of urban streets based on driver behaviour studies and simulation
Abstract : The objective of the study was to gain in-depth knowledge of speed relationships for urban streets. The speed characteristics were examined using a number of methods for data collection. READ MORE
