Abstract : Somatostatin (SS) receptors (sstr) are usually highly expressed on neuroendocrine (NE) tumours. The radiolabelled SS analogue 111In-DTPA-D-Phe1-octreotide is today widely used to scintigraphically visualise NE tumours, and high 111In activity concentrations are obtained in tumour vs. normal tissues. 2. Labelling of various macromolecules using positron emitting 76Br and 68Ga : Synthesis and characterisation
Abstract : Different prosthetic groups containing a trialkylstannyl- and an electrophilic group have been synthesised and labelled with the accelerator produced 76Br (T1/2=16 h) through oxidative bromination. Abstract : The biology of human midgut carcinoid tumour was studied experimentally in primary cell culture and clinically in patients with the midgut carcinoid syndrome. In cell cultures, tumour cells had a secretory pattern of 5-HTP, 5-HT and 5-HIAA specific for each tumour indicating individual regulation of synthesis/degradation. READ MORE
