    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fiber; fibre; fiber characteristics; fiber dimension; fiber properties; mechanical pulp; FiberLab; raw data; distribution; fiber wall thickness; BIN; bonding ability influence; bonding indicator; bonding ability; fiber width; fibrillation; collapse resistance; laboratory sheet; fiber analyzer; optical analyzer; TMP; CTMP; SGW; sheet model; prediction; fiber characterization; hydrocyclone; fractionation; kernel density estimation; KDE; diffusion mixing; acoustic emission; F0.90; Norway spruce; Picea abies;

    Abstract : Mechanical pulps are used in paper products such as magazine or news grade printing papers or paperboard. Mechanical pulping gives a high yield; nearly everything in the tree except the bark is used in the paper. This means that mechanical pulping consumes much less wood than chemical pulping, especially to produce a unit area of printing surface. READ MORE

  3. 3. Application of Laser Techniques for Combustion Studies

    Author : Marcus Aldén; Fysiska institutionen; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Keywords: Laser-induced fluorescence; Raman Spectroscopy; Coherent anti-Stokes Raman Scattering CARS ; flames; laserspectroscopy; dye laser; lidar; remote sensing; combustion; air pollution; radicals; optical multichannel analyzer.; Fysicumarkivet A:1983:Aldén;

    Abstract : The aim for this work has been to increase the applicability of laser spectroscopy techniques for studies of combustion processes, both what regards in-flame experiments, exhaust-gas analysis and remote sensing of the atmosphere. Raman spectroscopy has been used for analysis of exhaust gases from flames, model fires of wood and for inflame measurements. READ MORE

  5. 5. Investigation of electrical and magnetic properties of nanoparticles and nanofibers with the aim to tailor material properties of nanocomposites

    Author : Anna Jänis; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; microscopy; ferrite; SiC; nanocomposite; nanowire; microwave absorbing properties; network analyzer; nanoparticle;

    Abstract : Nanocomposites are the subject of interest in this study which can be explained by the factum that using building blocks with dimensions in the nanosize range makes it possible to design and create new materials which can satisfy several functions at the same time for many applications. The applications of interest in this study belong to the microwave frequency region and for that reason a number of materials were investigated to define their microwave absorbing properties.
