Abstract : Intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement is a routine procedure and a fundament in glaucoma care. Elevated IOP is the main risk factor for glaucoma, and to date, reduction of IOP is the only possible treatment. Abstract : Disturbances in the pressure homeostasis of the middle ear (ME) system cause a pressure gradient across the tympanic membrane lessen the effectiveness of sound transmission and may be associated to development of chronic ME disease.
