  1. 31. Understanding mobile service diffusion as an evolutionary process: A study of the Swedish market

    Author : Tsani Annafari; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; social evolution; mobile service; Innovation diffusion; variation; data granularity; diffusion modeling; selective retention;

    Abstract : This thesis aims to highlight the connections between the diffusion of innovation theory and the evolutionary models for technological changes within the context of mobile communication research. On the basis of empirical findings, the discussion focuses on addressing three research questions: Why should mobile service diffusion be understood as an evolutionary process? How should mobile service diffusion be explained and modelled using evolutionary conceptions? And in what way the evolutionary framework could influence future mobile service diffusion studies?Based on empirical observations and a literature study, this thesis argues that mobile service diffusion involves dynamic, developmental and historical economic process which is comparable to an evolutionary process. 2. 32. Supply Chain Risk Management : Identification, Evaluation and Mitigation Techniques

    Author : S.Nurmaya Musa; Ou Tang; Jan Olhager; David Zhang; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : Supply chain risk management; risk analysis; risk control; co-citation; system dynamics; modelling;

    Abstract : Supply chains have expanded rapidly over the decades, with the aim to increase productivity, lower costs and fulfil demands in emerging markets. The increasing complexity in a supply chain hinders visibility and consequently reduces one’s control over the process. READ MORE

  3. 33. On Optimization Based Control of Distributed Energy Resources in Power Systems: Electricity Markets and Voltage Regulation Perspectives

    Author : Pavan Balram; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; model predictive control and distribution systems; Electric vehicles; electricity markets; coordinated voltage control; battery energy storage; photovoltaics;

    Abstract : Distributed energy resources are increasingly being integrated into power systems around the world. These resources, typically connected at the distribution system level, are already changing the pattern of power flow from being unidirectional to multidirectional. READ MORE

  4. 34. Mean Field Games for Jump Non-Linear Markov Process

    Author : Rani Basna; Astrid Hilbert; Rainer Buckdahn; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mean-field games; Optimal Control; Non-linear Markov Processes; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Abstract : The mean-field game theory is the study of strategic decision making in very large populations of weakly interacting individuals. Mean-field games have been an active area of research in the last decade due to its increased significance in many scientific fields. READ MORE

  5. 35. CO2 transportation infrastructure and biomass supply systems for carbon capture and storage - A modeling study of Swedish industry

    Author : Sebastian Karlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; BECCS; cost optimization; infrastructure; incentives; CCS; biomass supply; industry; CO2 transportation;

    Abstract : Rapid decarbonization of the industrial sector is crucial if the world is to manage to meet the target set in the Paris Agreement of limiting global warming to “well below 2°C”. The main technological pathways for achieving a low-carbon industry are the substitution of fossil feedstocks and energy supply with bio-based alternatives, electrification, and implementing carbon capture and storage (CCS).
