21. Methodological aspects of quantitative cardiac molecular imaging
Abstract : The objective of this research was to facilitate the use of quantitative cardiac molecular imaging by developing and validating methods and applications. More specifically:we determined the optimal tracer kinetic model for analysis of 11C-PIB and evaluated the performance of two simpler measures, retention index (RI) and standardized uptake value (SUV), in the quantification of cardiac 11C-PIB uptake in amyloidosis. 22. Quantitative genetic variation in declining plant populations
Abstract : The ecological and genetic effects of habitat fragmentation are an issue of major concern in current conservation biology. Habitat fragmentation results in smaller habitat areas and as a consequence smaller and more isolated populations. Many habitats have become fragmented through human activities such as forestry and agricultural development. READ MORE

23. Contributions to quantitative dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI
Abstract : Background: Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) has the potential to produce images of physiological quantities such as blood flow, blood vessel volume fraction, and blood vessel permeability. Such information is highly valuable, e.g., in oncology. READ MORE

24. Fat-Referenced MRI : Quantitative MRI for Tissue Characterization and Volume Measurement
Abstract : The amount and distribution of adipose and lean tissues has been shown to be predictive of mortality and morbidity in metabolic disease. Traditionally these risks are assessed by anthropometric measurements based on weight, length, girths or the body mass index (BMI). READ MORE

25. Applications of statistical methods in quantitative magnetic resonance imaging
Abstract : Magnetic resonance imaging, MRI, offers a vast range of imaging methods that can be employed in the characterization of tumors. MRI is generally used in a qualitative way, where radiologists interpret the images for e.g. diagnosis, follow ups, or assessment of treatment response. READ MORE
