  1. 1. Radiohalogenated Compounds for Tumor Targeting : Synthesis and Radiolabeling

    Author : Eskender Mume; Stefan Sjöberg; Vladimir Tolmachev; D. Scott Wilbur; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Inorganic chemistry; 9-Aminoacridine; Daunorubicin; Doxorubicin; Carborane; Radiobromination; Radioiodination; Affibody; Monoclonal antibody; Oorganisk kemi; Inorganic chemistry; Oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : This thesis describes the synthesis and radiohalogenation of compounds of potential use for tumor targeting. The first section describes the synthesis and radioiodination of DNA intercalating compounds. The compounds are derivatives of 9-aminoacridine, and the anthracyclins daunorubicin and doxorubicin. 2. 2. On the Design of Affibody Molecules for Radiolabeling and In Vivo Molecular Imaging

    Author : Daniel Rosik; Amelie Eriksson Karlström; Christian Heinis; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Affibody molecule; AC DC; radionuclide molecular imaging; HER2; SPECT; PET; biodistribution; peptide synthesis; radiolabeling; SRA - Molecular Bioscience; SRA - Molekylär biovetenskap;

    Abstract : Affibody molecules have lately shown great potential as tools for in vivo molecular imaging. These small, 3-helical bundles, with their highly stable protein scaffold, are well suited for the often harsh conditions of radiolabeling. READ MORE

  3. 3. Immobilization and Interaction of Biomolecules at the Solid-Liquid Interface : Applications to Solid-Phase Analytical Techniques

    Author : Ulf Jönsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Protein immobilization; silica; Immunoglobulins; Protein A; Fibronectin; chemical-vapour deposition; silane; ellipsometry; radiolabeling; contact-angle measurement; solid-phase analytical techniques;

    Abstract : The development of solid-phase-analytical techniques based on surface-concentration-measuring devices requires a stable and reproducible immobilization of biomolecules on well-characterized solid surfaces. This study reports on the immobilization of Immunoglobulin G, Protein A and Fibronectin on chemically modified silica surfaces. READ MORE

  4. 4. Tracing local hyaluronan after ocular anterior segment trauma

    Author : Anna Makar; Lund Oftalmologi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Oftalmologi; Ophtalmology; COX-2 inhibitors; radiolabeling; trauma response; aqueous humor; hyaluronan; iris;

    Abstract : Hyaluronan has been found in the eye in varying amounts and at different sites. It is involved in physiological and pathological processes, though many aspects of its bio-logi-cal functions are still unclear. We have studied the role of iris tissue in hyal-uro-nan production in the anterior segment of the eye, and its changes after trauma. READ MORE

  5. 5. RADIOIMMUNOTHERAPY & EXTRACORPOREAL ADSORPTION Preclinical Studies of the Pharmacokinetics & Biotinylation of Radioimmunoconjugates in Immunocompetent Rats

    Author : Zhongmin Wang; Bröstcancer-genetik; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; onkologi; cancer; oncology; cancerology; Cytologi; Cytology; extracorporeal adsorption; tri-functional chelator; maximal tolerable dose; biotin; intraperitoneal administration; biodistribution; pharmacokinetics; biotinylation; radiolabeling; rat; monoclonal antibody; radionuclide;

    Abstract : Extracorporeal adsorption (ECAT) is a novel strategy to reduce activity in whole body (WB), blood and radiosensitive organs by removing the excess of radiolabeled and biotinylated monoclonal antibody (MAb) from blood so that tumor/normal tissue ratio (T/N) could be improved. By increasing T/N, higher amounts of radiolabeled MAb might be administered, making it possible to treat disseminated carcinomas. READ MORE
