1. On the Clebsch-Gordan problem for quiver representations
Abstract : On the category of representations of a given quiver we define a tensor product point-wise and arrow-wise. The corresponding Clebsch-Gordan problem of how the tensor product of indecomposable representations decomposes into a direct sum of indecomposable representations is the topic of this thesis. 2. Representation theorems for abelian and model categories
Abstract : In this PhD thesis we investigate a representation theorem for small abelian categories and a representation theorem for left proper, enriched model categories, with the purpose of describing them concretely in terms of specific well-known categories. For the abelian case, we study the constructivity issues of the Freyd-Mitchell Embedding Theorem, which states the existence of a full embedding from a small abelian category into the category of modules over an appropriate ring. 3. The density of rational points and invariants of genus one curves
Abstract : The present thesis contains three papers dealing with two arithmetic problems on curves of genus one, which are closely related to elliptic curves. The first problem is to study the density of rational points presented in Papers I and II. READ MORE

4. Grothendieck Rings and Motivic Integration
Abstract : This thesis consists of three parts: In Part I we study the Burnside ring of the finite group G. This ring has a natural structure of a lambda-ring. However, a priori the images of the G-set S under the lambda-operations can only be computed recursively. READ MORE

5. P-adic dynamical systems and van der Put basis technique
Abstract : Theory of dynamical systems in fields of p-adic numbers is an important part of algebraic and arithmetic dynamics. The study of p-adic dynamical systems is motivated by their applications in various areas of mathematics, e.g., in physics, genetics, biology, cognitive science, neurophysiology, computer science, cryptology, etc. READ MORE
