1. Road Design for Future Maintenance : Life-cycle Cost Analyses for Road Barriers
Abstract : The cost of a road construction over its service life is a function of design, quality of construction as well as maintenance strategies and operations. An optimal life-cycle cost for a road requires evaluations of the above mentioned components. READ MORE

2. Improved road design for future maintenance : analysis of road barrier repair costs
Abstract : The cost of a road construction over its service life is a function of the design, quality of construction, maintenance strategies and maintenance operations. Unfortunately, designers often neglect a very important aspect which is the possibility to perform future maintenance activities. READ MORE

3. Road Surface and Tyre Interaction : Functional Properties affecting Road Dust Load Dynamics and Storage
Integrated structural and construction engineering – A study of project team performance in Swedish bridge design
Abstract : The Swedish Transport Administration (STA) ambitiously strives to increase the level of productivity and innovation within its operations while meeting and surpassing national sustainability objectives. In this effort, the STA has concluded that climate gas emissions from construction, operation, and maintenance of the infrastructure must be reduced for Sweden to maintain its position as a pioneer and to reach both national and global climate goals. 5. Comparing Procurement Methods in Road Construction Projects : Influence on Uncertainty, Interaction and Knowledge
Abstract : The construction sector is often considered to show a number of limitations regarding efficiency and effectiveness, conclusions normally drawn irrespective of project procurement method used, and despite the common assumption that differences among approaches exist regarding these aspects. The study investigates differences and similarities among procurement methods using a longitudinal multi-case study based on two comparatively large infrastructure projects: a traditional so-called design-bid-build project and an unconventional so-called design-build-maintain project.
