2. Driverless trucks in the Swedish freight transport system : An analysis of future impacts on the transport system and the emerging innovation system
Abstract : A large-scale introduction of driverless trucks could start taking place during the next decade. While this could bring several economic benefits for freight transport actors and society, it may also change the freight transport system and exacerbate the negative effects of road transport. 3. Simulation-based Evaluation of Fixed to Flexible Transit
Abstract : Emerging technologies have inspired a wide array of flexible public transit system designs characterized by varying degrees of demand-responsive routing and scheduling. The availability and synthesis of new data sources with higher degrees of spatial and temporal richness brought on by advancements in Intelligent Transport Systems allow for monitoring and responding to evolving supply-demand imbalances in real-time. 4. Competition in Public Transport : Essays on competitive tendering and open-access competition in Sweden
Abstract : The results of this work show that the cost efficiency of tendered bus services is similar across all Swedish counties, except for the more high-density counties where efficiency is lower. Considerably lower efficiency is also found for contracts with services run in-house by the Public Transport Authority (PTA), compared to when the same service is run by a private actor. READ MORE

5. Simulation Studies for Improved Efficiency in Road and Rail Freight Transports
Abstract : The demand for road and rail freight transport continues to grow with the expanding economy, while the climate crisis requires reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, tools and solutions for reducing fossil fuel use and enabling more efficient use of infrastructure are needed. READ MORE
