Abstract : The heterogeneity of salivary gland neoplasms have made classification and prognostication of these tumours sometimes difficult, and the introduction of techniques, such as enzyme and carbohydrate histochemistry and electron microscopy have only to a certain extent increased our knowledge in these respects.
